Short bio:
I’m Dana — Your favorite Hospitality Professional. Event Curator. Creative. Designer at heart. International Traveller. Bilingual. Gemini. Connector. Problem-Solver. Experience Maker.
I do a lot, but most of them fall somewhere between hospitality, events, design, creativity, and relationship-building. I have a natural eye for the little details that bring a space and an experience together, and I love turning ideas into something people can see, feel, and remember.
I’m married to a talented chef, so food, hospitality, and bringing people together are naturally a big part of my life. Outside of work, I’m navigating the beautiful, chaotic, and rewarding world of being a new mom and dog mom, while still finding time to travel, explore, create, and stay curious
I’m naturally curious and always looking for inspiration — whether that comes from travelling internationally, discovering new restaurants and spaces, meeting different people, or simply seeing things from a different perspective.
My work has taught me that the best events aren’t just about the food, the room, or the décor — they’re about how people feel when they’re there. I love creating those moments, connecting with people, and making an experience feel effortless, thoughtful, and a little bit special.
What first drew you into Carol's Closet?
The idea of walking into something completely new. Fashion has always been something I love and a creative way of expressing yourself, so the opportunity to be part of this project immediately caught my attention.
But beyond fashion, I was drawn to the meaning behind Carol’s Closet. Knowing that this movement was created from someone who was both a force and an inspiration makes it feel much more personal and meaningful.
I’m excited not only to be part of the project, but to get to know Carol, understand her story, and walk into her world — through her style, her creativity, and the impact she has had on others.
Favorite thrifted/vintage find ever:
I’m still fairly new to the world of thrifting, so I’m definitely learning as I go! My motto is “Just try it on — you never know.” I love the idea that you can find something completely unexpected and give it a new life. I especially love thrifting furniture and home décor and finding ways to work those pieces into my own space.
One of my favourite finds is an oversized vintage wine/bottle opener — it’s quirky, functional, and has so much character. It’s exactly the kind of piece I would never have thought to look for, but absolutely love having.
One item from Carol's Closet that feels most like you:
The black blazer outfit feels the most like me. I love a classic, polished look, especially when it has that little extra edge and little different than the rest.
One word for Carol's Closet:
Limitless
